Today we took a walk through secondary and primary rainforests. It was a good hike with some fairly hard walking.
But the views from the hill that we climbed were pretty nice!
The afternoon was free so we spent some time relaxing before heading off in search of some fabled chocolate cake that one of the guides had told us that his wife makes. Sadly she was recuperating from an illness so was unable to cook for us, but we did get to sample some raw cocoa beans. They look quite disgusting, but the white membrainy like stuff is very tasty.
Apparently the process is to dry the beans in the sun for 3 days, roast them in the over and then grind them. Voilla, cocoa powder!
