San Cristobal - The Galapagos Islands

It´s pretty quiet here. The airport on the island is closed so there are very few tourists cluttering the place up.

Lots and lots of sealions here. Went for a run this morning (a very short run I have to admit) and then had a swim with the sealions. Someone smells of fish. And I think it might be me, time for a shower...

Not too many as the internet is pretty slow here!

First day of the boat trip was actually a tour of the island that I´m currently on. Main highpoint was the giant tortoses at the Darwin center.



Once on the boat we went to a variety of islands and saw sealions (lots), some penguins, some blue footed boobies (I have a video of the boobie mating dance), some kind of red balloon bird and various other bits of wildlife.







Today I´m planning to head to another island to catch up with a friend - or I might just end up on the beach again. It´s a hard life...

Off on a boat for the next 4 days

I´m off on a boat cruise for the next 4 days! Should get lots of nice pictures.

Currently I´m on the island of Santa Cruz and already I´ve seen some wildlife!
